About Sumeria
Long before the birth of Christ and the Anno Domini (AD) there was a city called Sumer, near to where Baghdad was later built.
From Sumer hailed the Sumerians, who created what could be argued as the first true written language. The Sumerians conquered
much of the land around them and spread their brand of civilisation and their laws across the fertile crescent.
Sumeria is the name given to the historical region by people who assume a Sumerian must have come from the land of Sumeria,
even though such a place never existed. This site is not really a historical site, though I may include historical links or articles
if they grab my interest, rather it is a hub for my work on the internet and a place for me to hone my skills.
